SUMMARY
After updating KDE Plasma to 6.7.3 on 2026-07-19, I started experiencing a
regression with multi-monitor handling.
When my primary monitor is configured at 165 Hz, disabling or unplugging my
secondary monitor causes the primary monitor to become completely black.
The monitor backlight stays on, but no image is displayed. The system itself
keeps running.
The issue does not happen when using 144 Hz.

The secondary monitor is rotated vertically (270 degrees), even tho putting it
back to horizontal did not change anything.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start a KDE Plasma Wayland session.
2. Set the HP OMEN monitor to 1920x1080 @ 165 Hz.
3. Connect the Acer monitor as a secondary display.
4. Turn off the secondary monitor using its power button, or unplug it.
5. The primary monitor becomes black.
EXPECTED RESULT
The primary monitor should stay active after the secondary monitor is disabled.
ACTUAL RESULT
The primary monitor backlight remains on but the image disappears.
The problem disappears if the primary monitor is configured at 144 Hz instead
of 165 Hz.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This started immediately after updating KDE packages from Plasma 6.7.2 to
Plasma 6.7.3.
