          Platform: Ubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED

DESCRIPTION
When opening an image (gwenview ~/Pictures/foo.jpg) it does not display
immediately because there is a fade-in effect for the image. The effect hurts
UX by forcing the user to wait (~300ms?) before completely seeing the image, it
creates a sense of lag. The effect also occurs with Prev/Next navigation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
a. gwenview ~/Pictures/foo.jpg
b. gwenview ~/Pictures/; Prev/Next

OBSERVED RESULT
About a 300ms fade-in for displaying images

EXPECTED RESULT
No effect, just show the image

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Ubuntu 26.04
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.24.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
