Now, if you turn off the feature to search with KRunner, it does type-ahead
search instead. For this reason, the setting moved in the Plasma desktop
settings. 

As you've observed, we removed the "Do nothing" option. This is because it was
completely pointless! If you focused the desktop and pressed an alphanumeric
key, we now assume you meant to do something, because there's no logical reason
to that it without intending to do something ….unless you did it by accident,
but this is no problem either; selecting a file or folder is non-destructive,
and can be un-done by pressing the Escape key.
