This was about the worst bug report I ever made ... no kmail version, no "environmental" information, nothing. My bad. 3.) Here's the point after looking into the bug report you referred to: - I am *not* using Imap but I use the good old "Maildir" format. - The files from the inbox can be found on my local drive (/var/spool/mail/<username> ....), permissions are as such that there cannot be any issue with that. There is plenty of space on the local drive. - I (my user ...) have permissions to read and write on the corresponding directories, no problem at all. Trying to write e.g. from within a shell is working without any problem. 4.) I haven't seen this very problem for quite a while but will continue to monitor the issue. 5.) unfortunately the "trash" folder is somewhere I do not know. It is (sad enough ...) not within the "maildir" path. Investigating into something buried deeply within the akonadi structure is difficult (at least for me). Thanks again!
