It works well in my case - local screens are different resolutions, connecting to a Windows machine with an Intel CPU/iGPU. There is just one issue: The "minimize fullscreen window" button in the hoverbar does absolutely nothing. The "switch to window mode" works and switches to a single window with just the primary screen - which is fine in my case.
