Bug ID: 524858
Summary: Holding down the physical power button should make
Plasma try to disconnect pendrives close all apps
before power cuts off
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First 6.7.4
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Hold the power button of your PC/Notebook.
OBSERVED RESULT
Plasma notices and brings the shutdown menu, but doesn't seem to do anything
more.
EXPECTED RESULT
It should detect that the power button is being held more than a simple press,
then disconnect pendrives and close apps. That way if for some reason you can't
operate the device, you can at least shut it down quickly and safely (at least
in cases where the device requires the button to be held for a long time).
