This happens when the subfolder is farther down than what initially fits in the screen on the parent. Then if you go inside, then descend back up it'll smooth scroll around rather than just... immediately render at the right position. However, I can't easily test it right now, since postmarketOS stopped supporting KDE for OpenRC, and it seems like outside of a KDE environment dolphin won't smooth scroll at all so I'm not sure what I'm seeing. It seems like however, that it still renders the wrong position for 1-2 frames, but without smooth scroll will jump to the right one quicker rather than the kind of disorienting smooth scroll to the right spot.
