I very much agree with this. Many sites block clipboard action intentionally, using 'readonly' css tricks or unintentially with 'copy to clipboard' buttons that may not work if the user blocks js execution by default. This isn't a workaround to a bug, it's suggesting accomodating unavoidable issues. The same way a surge protector exists. You can't completely prevent power surges but you can mitigate the damage. The damage being, thinking I ctrl+a, ctrl+c the entire page contents and closing the browser only to find my clipboard unchanged after the fact.
