I am frequently unable to load projects I have saved without a crash. To
attempt to fix it, I uninstalled my OS packages, and the PPA packages, and then
compiled from scratch.
I was then able to load a file once, but not again.
After several failed attempts to load, I tried running from the command line to
see if there was any output. As per usual, Kdenlive loads fine, and crashes
after I load the project.
Successful workaround: Instead of loading the project using the load option
from the menu, I provide the project name on the command line.
This has worked for me 100% of the time.
I am hoping that details on the workaround will provide information to help
locate the bug. I will provide test files and debug files when I am completed
my current project.
Thanks for the great editor, specially the timeline previewing feature that
allows me to edit on my crappy laptop. Cheers.
