kscreen-doctor -o in SDR (before the HDR workaround)
DESCRIPTION
My Lenovo Yoga Book 9 14IAH10 has two internal OLED panels, eDP-1 and eDP-2. In
SDR the brightness keys and the brightness slider do nothing on either panel.
The values in /sys/class/backlight change, but the panels stay at the same
brightness.
If I enable HDR on both panels, brightness works. The keys dim both panels and
each slider dims its own panel.
Brightness works on these panels in Windows.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plasma Wayland session with HDR off on both internal panels.
2. Press the brightness keys or move the brightness slider.
OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens on either panel.
kscreen-doctor -o shows "Brightness control: supported" for eDP-1 and
"Brightness control: unsupported" for eDP-2. Output attached.
EXPECTED RESULT
The panels dim.

The panels also don't react when I write the brightness DPCD registers directly
(Intel HDR 0x354, VESA 0x721/0x722).
Maybe related to bug 525360.
Is there a way to get software brightness on these panels in SDR?
