"These connection have never been properly tested and supported and they are
not used on desktop anyway. Since we already filter these out, there is no
reason to allow to create them."
Why? I often use this type connections (in particular VLAN) in my work on my
desktop. And I know more than one people, who using bridge connections for
desktop virtual labs.
