It looks like a modal popup, so I'm expecting it to behave like one too 2. Should you decide to come back later to the prompt, then the authorization prompt is completely seperate from the action that you wanted to perform (e.g. on the task manager it's not grouped under dolphin) making it harder to understand the context. Since it would be modal to dolphin, I also don't really see any use case where you wanted to mount a drive, but between the action of you clicking and authorizing, had something else that much more important to do file-management related, that the authorization prompt had to wait. But as I'm looking around more, I realize this doesn't just affect dolphin but rather every application that invokes that authorization dialog: System settings, firewall-config, kde partition manager, and probably more too.
