Just checked and it works, cheers. I tried applying the patch directly but it didn't work due to line differences so I looked around. I found that 0002-applets-brightness-fix-Slider-binding-issues.patch applied something similar to what you sent. I tried removing the patch and recompiling and it now the slider works as intended.
