Bug ID: 526385
Summary: Pressing alt+2 in the Meta+V history pop-up changes
tabs, even if the starred tab is empty / hidden
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.7.4
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: Clipboard widget & pop-up
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
DESCRIPTION
Pressing alt+2 in the Meta+V history pop-up changes tabs even if the starred
tab is empty / hidden.
This is a bit confusing since the pop-up will then only show "Clipboard is
empty", even after closing and reopening it. The user might not understand how
he got here and how to go back.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press Meta+V
2. Un-Star any existing entries until the tab bar disappears
3. Press alt+2
OBSERVED RESULT
The user is sent to the Starred Entries Tab, even though it's empty and the tab
bar is hidden.
EXPECTED RESULT
Either
- alt+2 should not do anything when the starred tab is empty
or
- switching to the starred tab should force the display of the tab bar. The
starred Tab should display "No Starred items" or similar if it is reachable
when empty
