Jin Liu <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED --- Comment #7 from Jin Liu <[email protected]> --- I've found the cause of the problem. In my case, `kded6` has a smaller PID than `kwin_wayland_wrapper`, i.e., the former started before the latter, so it can't receive the "DISPLAY=:0" environment variable, thus unable to launch `xsettingsd`. The problem is caused by me force-uninstalling `kwallet-pam`, because it prevents non-Plasma sessions from shutdown cleanly (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=516103). It seems https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwallet-pam/-/blob/master/plasma-kwallet-pam.service.in?ref_type=heads is the only thing implicitly ordering `plasma-kwin_wayland.service` before `plasma-kded6.service` (by placing itself between the two). If this theory is true, I'd recommend making an explicit ordering so that `plasma-kwin_wayland.service` launches before all other plasma services, instead of relying on something so subtle. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
