--- Comment #9 from nttkde <[email protected]> ---
(As Nate knew, it is indeed more specifically the Do Not Disturb mode where the
bug occurs, rather than 'any fullscreen app' (which enables the DND mode
automatically). The Low free space notification does get stuck in manually
enabled Do Not Disturb mode, no fullscreen app is required.)

I tried with couple other notifications that I could get to trigger easily and
those did not seem to erroneously appear in the DND mode, but, also, those did
not have 'critical' priority. "Low free space" is a 'critical' priority
notification.

And then I noticed there is this Visibility setting "Critical notifications:
Show in Do Not Disturb mode" on the main Notifications settings page.
Just a theory and I haven't looked into the code; but I wonder if the logic for
that is incorrect, so that it ignores and overrides the Show popups settings,
and literally just shows any critical notification if DND mode is enabled, that
then for some reason end up broken when the Show popups is simultaneously
disabled.
If I disable the setting, then the disabled free space notification does not
erroneously pop up in DND mode.

Also I wonder if logic of the "Low priority notifications: Show popup" is weird
in a similar way; because if I disable both "Show popups" and "Show a message
in a pop-up" for Device Notifier (just Play sound enabled), it still seems to
show the notification when I plug in a USB stick, unless I disable "Low
priority notifications: Show popup".
