            Bug ID: 526506
Summary: Menu bar keeps the previous colour scheme's header
colours after a per-app scheme change when the window
                    has no toolbar
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: Breeze
      Version First 6.6.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Kubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: QStyle

main.cpp

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Build the attached program: a QMainWindow with a menu bar, KColorSchemeMenu,
and no toolbar.
cmake -B build -G Ninja && cmake --build build
2. Run build/menubar_palette, choose Settings > Colour Scheme > Breeze Light,
and quit. The choice is saved.
3. Run it again. The window opens in Breeze Light.
4. Choose Settings > Colour Scheme > Breeze Dark.

OBSERVED RESULT
The bar turns dark but the Settings title stays dark (#232629), so it is
unreadable (screenshot attached). Going from dark to light gives near-white
text on a light bar. The program prints both palettes after each change.
Offscreen:

    $ QT_QPA_PLATFORM=offscreen build/menubar_palette -style breeze "Breeze
Dark"
    -> Breeze Dark
    window: Window #202326 WindowText #fcfcfc
    menubar: Window #dee0e2 WindowText #232629

With --toolbar the menu bar follows:

    menubar: Window #292c30 WindowText #fcfcfc

EXPECTED RESULT
The menu bar takes the new scheme's header colours, as it does when the window
has a toolbar.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Kubuntu 26.04, Plasma 6.6.6, Breeze 6.6.5, Frameworks 6.24.0, Qt 6.10.2,
Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
breezetoolsareamanager.cpp, unchanged on master (6922a869): registerWidget()
sets the menu bar's palette at polish. configUpdated() re-applies it only to
windows in _windows, and only a top toolbar adds a window there
(appendIfNotAlreadyExists()). A window with only a menu bar never gets the
update. Related: bug 493550.
