For me, the raw LUKS partition appears in the "Removable Devices" section in
Dolphin, but the unlocked volume is shown under "Devices". So the LUKS
container is correctly detected as removable, but the decrypted volume inside
it is not.
I tested with a Samsung T5 EVO, a Samsung T7 external SSD and a simple USB key,
and I see the same behavior with all three, regardless of the filesystem inside
the LUKS container. Without LUKS, all devices are correctly shown under
"Removable Devices", mounted or not, and I am not asked for an admin password
to mount them.

So I guess the issue is that unlocked LUKS volumes are always considered as
internal drives even if the device is external.
