Bug ID: 526607
Summary: Multimedia page glitches while trying to save changes
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First 6.7.5
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcmshell
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
The Multimedia page struggles to properly save changes made on this page.
Sometimes it does store the changes, sometimes clicking the 'Apply' does not
work, and Dolphin does not name Audio CD 'files' according to naming specified.
Regardless if it works or not (seems completely random), trying to move to a
different System Settings page always prompts about 'unsaved changes' on this
page.
Merely reopening and closing this page may change audio file naming in Dolphin.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an Audio CD in Dolphin
2. Observe / copy an audio file in any format
3. Go to System settings -> Multimedia and change the naming scheme
4. Click apply
5. In Dolphin refresh the view with F5
6. Observe the changes get applied, not applied, or different convention get
applied
7. Try to close System settings window or change the category on left panel and
observe the 'unsaved changes' dialog.
OBSERVED RESULT
System settings randomly saves or not the changes made in the naming tab. It
prompts to save the changes even if 'Apply' has been clicked.
EXPECTED RESULT
System settings properly stores the new values either after clicking 'Apply'
or:
- after trying to switch to a different category or
- after trying to close the window
- the 'unsaved changes' prompt appears and properly stores the values if 'Save
Changes' is clicked.
Those changes are then properly 'conveyed' to Dolphin, so that refreshing the
view or inserting a new CD results with the new naming convention being
properly applied.
