Bug ID: 526964
Summary: When in VI mode, double-click no longer selects the
entire word
Classification: Applications
Product: kate
Version First 26.08.2
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Vi Input Mode
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Even in VI mode, double-clicking a word used to select the entire word. This is
useful to quickliy highlight all occurences of a variable or function, for
example. Since Kate 26.08, when in VI input mode, double-clicking moves the
cursor forward by one character instead of selecting the word.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a file in Kate
2. switch to VI mode
3. double-click on a variable
OBSERVED RESULT
cursor moves one character to the right
EXPECTED RESULT
the variable is selected and all its occurrences are highlighted
