            Bug ID: 526965
Summary: Notifications remain visible after timeout on Plasma
                    5.27.5 (Q4OS Aquarius)
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 5.27.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Notifications
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I am experiencing a problem with notification popups that remain visible
indefinitely instead of disappearing after the configured timeout.

**System information**
- Operating system: Q4OS Aquarius, based on Debian 12 (Bookworm)
- KDE Plasma: 5.27.5
- KDE Frameworks: 5.103.0
- Qt: 5.15.8
- Linux kernel: 6.1.0-53
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710, driver 470.256.02

**Steps to reproduce**
1. Set the notification popup timeout to 10 seconds in System Settings →
Notifications.
2. Copy a small file using Dolphin.
3. Wait for the file-copy operation to finish, move the mouse pointer away from
the notification, and wait more than 15 seconds.

**Actual result:** The notification popup remains visible and must be dismissed
manually.

**Additional tests**
- Clearing all notifications does not resolve the problem.
- Disabling “Keep popup open during progress” made no observable difference.
- The problem has occurred repeatedly over an extended period.
- I attempted to run `notify-send -t 5000 test`, as suggested in the Q4OS
forum, but the command was not installed. Therefore, this test has not yet been
performed.

My installed Plasma 5.27.5 package has no newer candidate available in my
configured Debian Bookworm repositories.

The Q4OS team directed me to KDE Bug 413203, “Some notifications don't
disappear after timeout”, which is marked CLOSED FIXED. The problem persists on
my Plasma 5.27.5 system.

Could you advise whether this should be investigated as a separate issue
affecting Plasma 5.27.5?
