[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #8 from [email protected] --- Confirming this still affects krfb 26.08.2-1 on CachyOS (Arch-based), Plasma 6.7.5, Wayland. Additional finding: the fix from attachment 196952 has NOT been merged into master. Verified today (2026-10-12) against commit 0a8bd010: $ grep -rn "setPasswordSet" --include=*.cpp . ./krfb/rfbserver.cpp:87:void RfbServer::setPasswordSet(bool passwordSet) ./krfb/main-virtualmonitor.cpp:175: server.setPasswordSet(...) No call in krfb/invitationsrfbserver.cpp, so InvitationsRfbServer::init() never sets the flag. Since v26.08.2 is the newest tag, this will ship again in the next release unless the patch lands. One diagnostic detail worth noting for anyone reading this: the PipeWire framebuffer IS created and does deliver buffers (portal permission is granted, KRFB_FB_PIPEWIRE debug logs "Got empty buffer..."), so the screen capture path looks healthy. Only rfbInitServer() is skipped — which is why start() returns true, no error dialog appears, and strace shows zero socket/bind/listen syscalls. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
