DESCRIPTION
Sometimes I use external tools to create a version of my original picture, for
example when using NX Studio for RAW processing or Faststone for a quick
lossless crop. Even when adding _v1 to the filename, it is not recogized as
version to the original file.
digiKam show Versioned: Yes only, if I use the internal image editor, which is
not sufficient for some editing processes.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a copy of a photo, add _v1 to the filename
2. digiKam won't recognize it as version
3. Open a photo in the image editor, click on "Save as new version"
4. digiKam will recognize and display this file as version of the original file
OBSERVED RESULT
digiKam won't recognize external versions of a file.
EXPECTED RESULT
digiKam should recognize external versions of a file and handle them equally.
