            Bug ID: 527136
Summary: Discover has no user progress feedback during
                    "-installation" phase
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Discover
      Version First 6.8.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: discover
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION: see $SUBJECT

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. WAit until a lot of updates are available
2. Let all of them install
3. WAit until all are downloaded

OBSERVED RESULT
Discover seems to "hang" "forever" (>>minutes) showing no visible progress.
Each package only shows "-Installation" as the progress.
This is bad UX, users may think the installation has failed or stalled, and it
is especially crucial when new kernels are being installed because interrupting
this process may make the system unbootable.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be *one* global, obvious, primary progress bar (maybe at the
bottom end of the screen?) for the complete update. Including "% done" and "X/Y
packages downloaded" or "installed".

Thank you 🙂
