However, DolphinView did not schedule a status bar update, leaving the displayed selection size and item metadata stale until the user manually toggled the selection. Trigger m_selectionChangedTimer in DolphinView::slotItemsChanged() if there are selected items, and guard delayedStatusBarUpdate() in DolphinViewContainer against disabled status bar configurations while reducing the elapsed update threshold from 2000 ms to 500 ms.
