Bug ID: 527431
Summary: Plasma 6.8 broke pinning web apps to Task Manager
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First master
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager widgets
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
I have several web apps (PWA) installed via Chromium (Chromium itself is a
flatpak).
It has been working perfectly fine. Up until 6.7 i was able to pin Whatsapp
Web, MS Teams, and Outlook to my task manager without any issues.
Ever since updating to 6.8, on OpenSUSE TW, i can no longer pin PWA. When the
app is open, if i right-click, i see "Pin to Task Manager" is disabled. If i
find the app in the app launcher, and try to pin it from there, it looks like
it worked. It adds the icon to the task manager, but when i click the icon, it
opens the app in a second icon.
