The problem is that it's very hard to go back from partition name and get device name. (It's easy to go the other way though, if device name ends with a digit, then "p" has to be inserted between device and partition). E.g. sda1 is partition but mmcblk0 is a device. Tomaz any ideas? nvme/mmcblk0 ire not the only options. loop devices also have p. And there are more too.
