What happens when pasted in program without mime-sniffing capabilities
DESCRIPTION
Title.
Instead of copying the image buffer to the clipboard using the file name and
format set in the settings, it generates a 40 bytes long string, with no
extension, and uses that as the destination filename.
When you try to paste that image buffer with no name, which also causes it to
have no extension, it makes programs that have no mime sniff ability (like
WhatsApp) to fail to recognize such paste as a picture.
Because the buffer has no file name, trying to paste it in the desktop also
fails with error code 160.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable "copy to clipboard" in Spectacle settings.
2. Take a screenshot in whatever mode (I use rectangular crop)
3. Once copied, try to paste in the desktop.
4. Try to paste it on a website that requires pictures (WhatsApp and Imgur are
able to reproduce this)
OBSERVED RESULT
WhatsApp fails to identify the file format
Imgur errors out: Sorry, you can't upload that type of file.
Cannot copy to the desktop: error 160
All because the file has no extension or proper MIME
EXPECTED RESULT
None of the above should fail identifying the proper format
