            Bug ID: 528153
Summary: Display if an image is lossy, lossless, or animated on
                    the thumbnail
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
      Version First 26.08.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
In the past it was easy to distinguish the file media properties by the file
extension. .png for lossless, .jpeg for lossy, and .gif for animated. Newer
file formats like JPEG XL roll all of these into one so it's harder to browse
for the file you want to look for. The thumbnails in dolphin could solve this
by adding an additional icon or letter on top of the thumbnail to indicate its
properies.
