--- Comment #9 from Yahya A. <[email protected]> --- Confirming the fix on Fedora 44 with a Dell D6000 (DisplayLink, evdi 1.15.1, DisplayLink 6.4.0), Intel Iris Xe, kernel 7.2.14. Stock kwin-6.8.2-2.fc44 crashes in RenderDevice::deviceId (this=0x0) ← prepareDirectScanout compositor.cpp:481, about 1 s after the evdi outputs come up (37 coredumps over two days, bursts of up to 10 that end the session). I rebuilt Fedora's kwin-6.8.2-2 with only c9d720793bbc added. With that build: dock hot-plug fine, both evdi outputs up, fullscreen video on a DisplayLink output fine, no crashes. "Couldn't find any render device for /dev/dri/cardX" is still logged, as expected. Fedora packagers: backporting this to 6.8.2 before 6.8.3 would help DisplayLink users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
