During investigation on Plasma 6.8.2 (Wayland), I gathered some additional information that may be useful: Reproduced with: Chromium PWAs Microsoft Edge PWAs Web App Manager (Ice) using Chromium Web App Manager (Ice) using Edge Reproduced with multiple task manager implementations: Icons-Only Task Manager Fancy Tasks NG KWin Debug Console and queryWindowInfo() both report distinct identities for the affected windows. Examples: Chromium Copilot: desktopFileName = chrome-copilot.com__-default resourceClass = chrome-copilot.com__-default Edge Copilot: desktopFileName = com.microsoft.edge resourceClass = com.microsoft.edge KWin Debug Console displays separate window entries and separate icons for the PWAs. Despite this, the Task Manager groups the windows under the parent browser icon. This may indicate that KWin is already identifying the applications correctly, and the issue occurs later during launcher/window association or grouping.
