Bug ID: 528341
Summary: Taskbar overlaps fullscreen windows
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.8.2
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: wayland-generic
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Since KDE Plasma got updated to 6.8 all my fullscreen windows have taskbar
overlapping their contents.
On Plasma 6.7 everything was working correctly (also using Wayland). I have
seen some posts about focus stealing prevention being the problem but I tried
every option and it didn't fix the issue.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set taskbar mode to Always visible
2. Open any app in fullscreen mode (native game, wine game, chrome video
player)
OBSERVED RESULT
Taskbar is visible and overlaps the window contents
EXPECTED RESULT
Taskbar is hidden (like it was in Plasma 6.7 and earlier)
