Bug ID: 528449
Summary: Plasma browser integration Firefox extension doesn't
work if the content of /usr/lib is in /usr/lib64
instead
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasma-browser-integration
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Firefox
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
I have installed librewolf on fedora with the plasma integration extension and
it wasn't able to connect to plasma, meanwhile it works on other machine with
same librewolf version. I've found that on one machine that it dosen't work the
file org.kde.plasma.browser_integration.json is in the folder
"/usr/lib64/librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/" , meanwhile on the machine that
it works is in the folder "/usr/lib/librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/".
Creating a symbolic link "/usr/lib/librewolf" that point to
"/usr/lib64/librewolf" solved the issued made the extension work.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install librewolf on Fedora using rpm repo
2. Install plasma integration firefox extension
OBSERVED RESULT
The browser extension doesn't work with the error "No such native application
org.kde.plasma.browser_integration"
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I've made the extension work with "ln -s /usr/lib64/librewolf/
/usr/lib/librewolf"
