In my version of Okular, which is a bit older, i.e. 0.20.3, __ALL__ of the fields have white background and can be filled without problem (unlike in your version). For the record, I am using the plasma desktop environment (this shouldn't be relevant, though, right?)... Btw., my version of the poppler library is 0.24.5. What version do you have?
