Same here on openSUSE Tumbleweed, on my work laptop.
Note that I reach the internet through an http proxy, correctly configured in
System Settings.
I can reach that xml file using a browser or wget.
Moreover, I can correctly use Get Hot New Stuff when I'm at home (no proxy).
I have to add that I have this error whenever the Get Hot New Stuff
functionality is involved, not only in this specific case.
