Bug ID: 382914 Summary: Rendering files as mp4, full hd, generates files much larger than before Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: thilo.str...@gmx.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 106962 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=106962&action=edit rendering settings of kdenlive Version 17.04.3 Hello I don't understand or comprend what happended. When using Linux Mint 17.3 / 17.4 and 18, I could render 3-4 full hd camera files to one file, not about 4,5 GBytes. Now I have got Linux Mint 18.2, updated to KDENLive Version 17.04.3 by adding the repository and add-apt get update/upgrade, I suddenly get extra large files. Currently my notebook, a Lenovo Thinkpad T510, Intel Onboard, Dualcore with 2,5 GHz, renders about 6 hours for 5 files each 4 GB (Fat32 card, 4 GB splitting), I have got 8,2 GB, and 4 hours must still be rendered, the file gets estimated 16-20 GB large. I formerly used HD/MPEG4 with setting of 192 kHz, aac, and so on before. DiVX, AVI earlier did not render files smaller, as I remember. regards, Thilo. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
