I have a local solution that really helps to not stop using activities another time :-) Off topic 2: My favorite would be: A panel widget with 'tree dots + current activity name ellipsed' + popup with activity pager (much shorter move necessary for the mouse compared to the 'activity manager') sized like the window previous of task manager.
