I recently added a Zotac GEForce GT710 nVidia card. The currently installed Kubuntu is 16.10, KDE Plasma version 5.5.5, QT version 5.5.1, Kernel version 4.4.0-22, 64 bit. During installation Kubuntu added an nVidia driver for the new video card and an AMD microcode driver.
