I'm not sure I see how this would be possible to implement. One mode presents a
text field, the other shows you clickable buttons. Since this UI element is
basically the same as a web browser's URL bar, try to imagine how they would
implement such a feature there (I don't think they could). And switching
between modes is pretty easy already.
