Confirmed. Apparently Dolphin isn't setting setting the MIME type or URI
properly in such a manner that the system knows it's a URL that should be
passed off to the default web browser, whatever's set up to accept http and
https URLs.
Here's a workaround: Go to System Settings > Applications > Default
Applications > Web Browser > Open http and https URLs > in the following
browser: > choose your web browser.
