System Activity screenshot with plasmashell and X use much CPU

Recently (a few weeks ago) I noticed that sometimes plasmashell starts to take
high CPU usage (I noticed because the laptop fan started fanning).

I closed the opened applications (Firefox, Thunderbird, Clementine, Kate,
Dolphin etc.) but still high CPU usage.

I am aware that this kind of behaviour is hard to debug. In the System Activity
screenshot I can see that the process "X" also takes much CPU. Is there a way
to find out which part of plasma takes these CPU resources?
