As in most applications circle mean peopel/user/artist/contact/... I would say
sure. from my point of view I had the problem that circle mean also that you
remove a lot of content in difference to square, but as I wrote it's kind of
standard to have humans in a circle.
e.g. at music player apps you have albums (square) and artists (circle). and
there are a lot of other examples out there.
