Currently this information is stored in projectdir/.kdev4/projectname.kdev4, in
this format:
[Filters][29]
inclusive=0
pattern=*.pyc
targets=1
('targets' is 1 for files, 2 for folders, 3 for both).
I can see why a .gitignore-compatible format would be useful.

The IRC channel (#kdevelop on Freenode) is a good place to discuss things,
whether a feature would make sense or if something similar exists, but there's
no long-term log.
This is the right place to make a feature request when you're sure about what
to ask for and don't want it to be forgotten, but please use severity
"wishlist".
