If I understand it correctly, the Plasma global menu code gets confused if a main window has a menu bar, and its child MDI window _also_ has a menu bar. Correct? The first question (ignoring the crash for now) would be to understand how this should work at all. Merging (i.e. mixing) the menus is probably impossible, and concatenating them might be possible, but still dangerous. Or ignore the main window's menu if a subwindow has a menu? Questions ...
