Bug ID: 389776 Summary: Please add a % (percent) scale factor when printing Product: kate Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bridgeportcontrac...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 110298 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=110298&action=edit bug tracker snapshot showing limited version # selection Please add a % (percent) scale factor when printing, e.g. an 80% size. This would easily allow printing wide text on one sheet of page. Although I mostly work in narrower text, there are times I want to create and print a wider table or the like. As it is there is no way to print wide text in Linux that I have found (although I will next try LibreOffice, but it deals with tabs very differently and is not really a text editor). Landscape mode helps, but is not enough for some things. Also making the font smaller I think is a poor choice of how to go about this. There must be a reasonably simple way to simply adjust the scaling that the printer output gets. Note that there is a % factor in the print preview, but this is only to adjust what is displayed on the screen in preview. I think this same dialog would be a good place to also be able to adjust the scale of the output onto the page. Thanks ever so much!! _____________________________ The version I just built and am testing is: 18.03.70 (NOTE: this bug tracker needs to be updated with newer versions added to the Version pull down box.) (Also I think this bug tracker needs to have 'printing' as an available Component in the Component pull down.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
