            Bug ID: 390768
Summary: Requesting Blacklist Feature for Klipper
           Product: klipper
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: mgraess...@kde.org
          Reporter: cfs3cors...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Sorry if anything is not formatted correctly; this is actually my first post
here.

I use a password manager (keepass 2), and one of the ways it enters passwords
is to make partial use of the computer's clipboard, in combination with
keyboard inputs. Problem is, it seems Klipper likes to save history. So small
snippets of my username/password are shown and stored in plaintext (i.e.
Password that is 123456789 might appear as 1469 in Klipper) unless I manually
delete it. I tried to see if there was a way to disable Klipper history, but it
does not seem so?

Anyway, it was recommended to me that I make a feature request for an
application blacklist for Klipper. For example, setting it to automatically
ignore anything that has to do with Keepass 2. A blacklist feature would be
really useful for individuals who have to run password managers, or individuals
that would not want sensitive information in general to be stored in plaintext.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks for making such a useful
tool
