If we right click on the device notifier item in the status bar and go to
device notifier settings, there is a checkbox which says 'open popup when new
device is plugged in'. I currently have this checkbox unchecked, but I still
get the popup when I plug in a USB drive. It looks like checking or unchecking
this option does not have any effect.
