--- Comment #14 from David Faure <fa...@kde.org> --- I can indeed reproduce the behaviours described here when a ~/.config/kde-mimeapps.list file exists, because it takes precedence over ~/.config/mimeapps.list even though that's where the GUI writes out changes.
