            Bug ID: 360049
Summary: WISHLIST - new feature - Ability to import clips
                    directly to timeline
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: evert.vors...@yandex.com

Quite often I have DigiKam open, and drag clips that I want to edit to the
project bin, only to immediately drag them into the timeline. Audio clips are
handled by Amarok, but it's the same thing, they all have to go into the
project bin first. Fact of the matter is that digital media is handled by
helper applications, and dragging and dropping is the usual way things happen.

It would be really awesome if it was possible to drag a clip from another
application straight to the timeline.
Any clip that is added to the timeline directly will of course also get a clip
in the project bin, but one does not have to _see_ that happening, unless the
project bin is open.

Reproducible: Always
