Disabling the window animations "sliding popups" and "Fade" works.

After that, there's still a tiny delay of ~150ms before the window opens.
That's not a serious issue, but it's noticably slower than opening a
right-click menu on the tab, for example. I just wonder what is causing it.

It's my opinion that it makes sense to keep animations/effects in general
except for the taskbar that you have to click very often (if you are a
mouse-warrior). In the case of the taskbar the speed of workflow is more
important than showing animations.
